Family Economic Security Funding

Funding Process

The Rainwater Charitable Foundation invites funding proposals by invitation only and reviews Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for projects aligned with our current funding priority on Family Economic Security in Tarrant County.

We are seeking to support innovative and impactful programs, with priority given to those that aim to improve student outcomes in reading and math in Tarrant County.

Our team is not currently accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs). The LOI process is closed for the remainder of 2025 and will reopen on February 1, 2026.

Please note, we can only make grants to organizations designated as a 501c3 Public Charity by the IRS (or the equivalent) and we are unable to make grants to the following:

• Private Foundations
• Individuals or Families
• Political Organizations, political candidates, lobbyists, or related organizations
• International organizations that are not qualified under U.S. IRS regulations

If your organization falls within one of our Family Economic Security funding focus areas and is not excluded by the above restrictions, you may submit an LOI.
