Funding Process
The Rainwater Charitable Foundation accepts proposals for funding by invitation only, however we review LOIs for programs that fall within our current areas of focus:
Our team reviews letters of intent (LOI) twice a year, in April and October. Please note, we can only make grants to organizations designated as a 501c3 Public Charity by the IRS (or the equivalent) and we are unable to make grants to the following:
- Private Foundations
- Individuals or Families
- Political Organizations, political candidates, lobbyists, or related organizations
- International organizations that are not qualified under U.S. IRS regulations
If your organization falls within one of our Family Economic Security funding focus areas and is not excluded by the above restrictions, you may submit an LOI by following the instructions below.
