K-12 Education Funding

We believe that every child irrespective of zip code, income, race or learning style deserves an education that prepares them for college, work, and life.  Much research demonstrates the link between education outcomes and poverty.  Our K-12 funding typically goes to entities most proximate to children’s education, development, and well-being.  Our goal is to identify and help to replicate promising practices with an ultimate objective of creating lasting and transformational outcomes for children at scale.

Investments in the Leadership Academy Network, Fort Worth Children’s Partnership, and middle school redesign attempt to identify and scale school models that have significantly better outcomes than traditional school models. Investments in inputs such as principal and teacher development seek to identify and scale practices that ensure more students are reading on grade level, and are ultimately prepared to be successful post-graduation.
