Family Economic Security Funding
Upskilling Funding
A family’s income level is closely correlated to child outcomes including health, wellness, and academic success. Boosting income factors such as household income, family-owned assets, and employment credentials are areas of focus for the foundation.
Our aim is helping more students and families understand what postsecondary opportunities currently exist and what steps they need to take early in their academic career to access those options. RCF helped launch the Tarrant To and Through (T3) Partnership which seeks to boost the number of students pursuing and earning a postsecondary degree or credential through formal partnerships with K12 districts and Higher Education Institutions. T3 provides additional college and career advising services, financial aid, persistence support through college, and a robust data system to help track and support students.
Additionally, we fund organizations (such as NPower, Per Scholas, and Community Learning Center) that increase opportunities for underemployed adults to access degrees and certificates that lead to high-wage, high-demand jobs in our local economy. RCF funding also includes addressing barriers facing families in accessing these opportunities such as financial aid for tuition, transportation to programs, understanding the application process, and connection to employers.
