Tau Consortium
Liquid Biomarkers
Liquid biomarkers play a crucial role in primary tauopathy research by providing more accessible ways to detect, monitor, and study tau pathology without relying on post-mortem examination. Instead, these biomarkers are found in bodily fluids like blood and cerebrospinal fluid, which are much easier to collect from patients.

Our network of researchers is focused on determining how these biomarkers can be used to diagnose and track tauopathy progression. Ultimately, by advancing liquid biomarker research, we can offer promising new avenues for earlier diagnosis and more effective monitoring of primary tauopathies.
