Scholarships
The Rainwater Charitable Foundation helps to manage the Dream Big Determined Scholars Program, a program designed for Tarrant County public high school juniors who have demonstrated academic achievement despite adversity.
Scholars are provided with aid and opportunities that assist them in achieving success throughout their college years and beyond. Applications open in the fall. Please visit Dream Big to learn more and apply.

- Check out information through your school district’s online scholarship page, your school’s counselor and additional school resources like the United Way GO Center.
- Visit www.fastweb.com and www.finaid.org to find a national listing of scholarships. Scholly can also help identify scholarship opportunities for a small monthly fee ($8/month).
- Two local sources for potential scholarships are the North Texas Community Foundation and ScholarShot.
- Use RaiseMe to collect “micro-scholarships” related to course grades, clubs, sports, volunteer activities, and more.
- The College Board, University Crossroads and Go College Now have extensive resources for SAT prep, college planning and scholarships.
- Khan Academy offers free courses in SAT prep (under courses) and College Admissions (in the Life Skills section).
- TCC College Access program is designed to provide pre-college information, testing, advising, financial aid and admissions services for Tarrant County high school seniors.
- The Tarrant To & Through Partnership has a collection of resources for academic supports, college planning, scholarships and career exploration.
- InspirED manages many Tarrant County GO Centers and provides a number of resources online for college planning and financial aid, including scholarships.
